Crown & Bridge

One of the strongest long-term solutions to restore a tooth back to its full function and appearance, a crown is where approximately 1 to 2 mm of your tooth structure or existing filling is removed, and the remaining tooth structure overlaid with a cast porcelain or metal crown that mimics the shape of your tooth.

A conventional fixed bridge is where one or two teeth adjacent to a gap caused by a missing tooth are crowned to enable the gap to be filled with a false tooth which is supported by the adjacent crowned tooth or teeth.

Crowns and bridges can be made from gold alloy, metal fused to porcelain, or various all ceramic materials. All have their appropriate uses and your dentist will need to make an assessment of what best suits your clinical situation.

All the dentists at Stkildadentist have a keen interest in crown and bridgework and have been placing them for many years. They continue to update their skills and use the latest materials technology.

Tooth Fracture
Dental Crown Work

Patient with a fractured, root-filled front tooth which was restored with an all-ceramic crown.

Crown prices vary depending on several factors including the material used (Zirconia, Gold, All-ceramic, porcelain-fused-to-metal); the position in the mouth (back tooth or high aesthetic demand front tooth) and whether multiple units are being placed at the same time.

Depending on the combination of the above criteria costs can range from between $1400 – $1900 per crown.

Your dentist will be able to assess your specific situation and quote you exactly for your particular needs.
