One of the most effective procedures for restoring teeth that are chipped, stained, discoloured, or crooked, porcelain veneers are thin shells of porcelain that are bonded on to the front of your natural teeth, enabling us to predictably change the shade and shape of your teeth.
Veneers are an ideal solution to capturing the look you have always wanted, with only minimal disturbance to your tooth surface. Porcelain veneers are very biomimetic (they mimic the properties of natural teeth such as appearance, strength and toughness) when bonded on to the enamel of your teeth.
In teeth where you already have large fillings or you need to quite dramatically alter the shape or angulation of the teeth, porcelain crowns may be a better choice.
Dr Staddon has a keen interest in the use of porcelain veneers and has been placing them for over 15 years. He continues to update his skills and use the latest materials technology.
Dr Staddon is a member of the Australian Prosthodontic Society which holds regular postgraduate lectures and seminars on the latest concepts in restorative dentistry.
Stkildadentist has very close working relationships with some of the premier dental laboratories in Melbourne to ensure a cosmetic outcome that will match our (and your!) high expectations.
